SEASONAL: Holiday Part-Time and Full-Time Positions

Title: Front of House Staff (temporary) – Merchandise Coordinator

Reports To: Communications Director

Status: Temporary; Full-Time (35-40 hours/week)

Salary: $11/hour

Job Description:

Front of House staff provides customer service to audience members attending Keshet performances, conducts ticket and merchandise sales, and supports Keshet staff with event logistics. This temporary position runs November 20 – December 11, 35-40 hours/week (mostly evenings and weekends) for performances of Keshet’s Nutcracker on the Rocks, with training hours during the week of November 13.

Duties Include:

  • Conduct box office and merchandise sales
  • Act as point of contact for audience and volunteers
  • Support preparation of facility spaces for activities and events
  • Support reception and front desk activities
  • Pickup of merchandise supplies (*must have own transport)
  • Other duties as directed

Qualifications:

The position requires the following skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Google Docs and ability to develop skills in new software programs (MindBody and Fundly)
  • Customer service – managing patrons, donors, clients, volunteers
  • Detail oriented

Status: Temporary; Part-Time (20 hours/week); One position is PT daytime Front Desk Concierge and Box Office support; One position is PT evenings and weekends Box Office Support

Salary: $11/hour

Full-Time: Volunteer Manager

Title: Volunteer Manager

Reports To: Operations Director

Status: Full Time

Salary: $27,000 – $29,000, based on experience

Job Description:

The Volunteer Manager is responsible for maintaining effective, efficient operations by developing and managing volunteers and supporting operational procedures.

Duties Include:

  • Manage and grow current volunteers and volunteer programs / initiatives
  • Establish, manage and grow new volunteer programs / initiatives
  • Develop and manage systems to recruit, recognize, retain volunteers
  • Seek, establish, maintain community partners/partnership to cultivate new volunteers
  • Develop and manage appropriate coordination, scheduling, training and evaluation programs and activities for volunteers
  • Maintain and develop documents and procedures to ensure effective operations and volunteer recruitment, training, evaluation, retention, recognition, oversight, and other tracking needs
  • Manage volunteer schedules and calendars to ensure efficient operations
  • Work with the Communications Director to promote programming and opportunities
  • Work with program directors to facilitate effective operations and volunteer placement
  • Support preparation of facility spaces for activities and events
  • Support reception and front desk activities
  • Other duties as directed

Arts Administration & Special Event Internship Opportunities

Since 1996, Keshet has operated with the mission to inspire and unite community by fostering unlimited possibilities through dance, mentorship and a creative space for the arts. In August 2013, Keshet moved into the Keshet Center for the Arts and now operates four distinctive core components: Keshet Center for the Arts – performing arts facility; Keshet Dance Company, Keshet’s full-time repertory dancers, Klab – Keshet’s Kinesthetic Education Laboratory, the arts education and outreach arm of Keshet, and the Keshet Ideas and Innovation Center, New Mexico’s only arts business resource and incubator for arts entrepreneurs.

Keshet seeks candidates interested in learning about Arts Administration and Special Event coordination. Interns will gain in-depth experience and will learn how various departments work together to achieve the organization’s goals. Interns will also gain nonprofit administrative experience which can include; basic budgeting, project management, business writing, customer service and introductory database training. A commitment of 15-30 hrs/ wk for 12 weeks is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Superb attention to detail
  • Responsible, reliable and efficient
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and general internet proficiency
  • Background in dance, music, theater or performing arts is preferred
