AJI – YLC : Conversations Into Action

Join us for a youth-led, action-oriented activity remapping our districts the way we believe equity can be represented.

Currently, political power is shaped and dictated by many other layers of our political systems based on inequitable district designations. Gerrymandering is the practice of manipulating the boundaries of an electoral constituency to favor one’s party or class. We will kick off this evening with a brief explanation of gerrymandering and a recap of the learnings that were in our previous Youth Council Conversations. Even though this activity will be building off of our previous events, newcomers are always welcome! Previous attendance is not required to attend or engage in this activity.

Participation in this event is free, however, seating capacity is limited. Please reserve your spot!.
