Mixed Ability/Adaptive Dance

Keshet offers Mixed Ability/Adaptive dance classes for ages 6 and above!

Keshet’s Mixed Ability/Adaptive classes focus on celebrating the expression of all individuals and all abilities in dance. While dancers of all abilities are welcome in all Keshet programming, Mixed Ability/Adaptive classes specifically integrate all mobility devices as well as all levels of physical and developmental abilities. In Mixed Ability/Adaptive classes, students are invited to move and express dance techniques together while discovering their unique movement possibilities.

Other terminology in the dance field for Mixed Ability/Adaptive Dance is integrated dance, or inclusive dance.

Production Participation:

For community dancers who are interested in participating in the end of semester concerts, it’s as easy as filling out some paperwork and joining us for additional rehearsals, tech, and performances!
