Bernalillo County Juvenile Justice Continuum Board

  • The Mission of the Bernalillo County Juvenile Justice Continuum Board is to “reduce the number of youth within the Juvenile Justice system through prevention, intervention, and alternative programs that empower youth, families and communities.”

Albuquerque Justice for Youth Community Collaborative (AJ4Y)

  • AJ4Y is made up of local grass­roots orga­ni­za­tions, youth jus­tice advo­cates and young peo­ple and fam­i­lies who have been direct­ly affect­ed by the juve­nile jus­tice sys­tem, working to hon­or and strength­en com­mu­ni­ty self-determination, reduce and even­tu­al­ly elim­i­nate depen­dence on the juve­nile jus­tice sys­tem and keep youth safe­ly at home and sup­port­ed by their own communities.

New Mexico Children’s Code Reform Task Force

  • The New Mexico Children’s Code Reform Task Force was charged with assessing the Children’s Code and drafting proposed legislation and recommendations for the legislature to bring parts of the Children’s Code up to date to be more responsive to social, scientific, economic and cultural developments and realities.
