“MONARCH” | November 21

MONARCH uses the life cycle of a monarch butterfly to explore themes of immigration, loss, transformation, longing, the beauty of life, separation, and ultimately hope. MONARCH asks us to reflect on the balance of the natural world and the anxiety and fear in today’s political climate. Where is the hope? Who do we turn to? How do we protect the most vulnerable in our community?

MONARCH is a full-length dance production featuring a cast of Keshet community members: Keshet Dance Company professional dancers, KP3 (Keshet Pre-Professional Students), adult dancers, young dancers ages 10+, and all levels and abilities who want to dance with us. 

This performance is sensory-friendly, and will feature low house lights during the show, a lower music audio level, and freedom to move to the lobby during the show. In addition, we have options to view the show on a screen in the lobby if you do need to exit but want to continue watching the show, as well as a quiet area.
