January 2021 – Saturday, 23rd @ 10:00am MST / 19:00 Kaliningrad

Keshet & Kaliningrad – International Arts Exchange
A gathering of partners who have been working together throughout the pandemic to bring Keshet’s M3 curriculum to students in Kaliningrad, Russia
* This is a FREE event, however registration is required (use link above)

Join us for a conversation between Keshet Dance (Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA) and Pchyolka (Kaliningrad, Russia) as they share their collaborative experiences using the arts to support healing and justice in both the US and Russia.

Since July 2020, Keshet has been sharing tools generated from its M3 Curriculum (Movement + Mentorship = Metamorphosis) which has been highly successful as a form of alternative programming in the Juvenile Justice system, shifting trajectories of young lives impacted by the justice system. Join us as we discuss how Keshet’s inclusive arts based curriculum has supported Pchyolka in Kaliningrad, Russia as they developed and implemented new arts programming aimed to serve at risk and orphaned youth.

Learn how the program came together, how this project has developed over the last few months, and view footage from the Kaliningrad specialists’ training and programming as curriculum has been implemented in orphanages across Kaliningrad!

Keshet and Pchyolka appreciate the support of the Eurasia Foundation via the US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange (SEE). This support facilitates an international partnership with Kaliningrad’s Pchyolka Organization. SEE is a diverse network of Russian and U.S. professionals and social entrepreneurs engaged in a meaningful exchange of ideas and best practices to produce positive change in the lives of citizens in both countries. All initiatives are focused on finding solutions to pressing social issues common to the U.S. and Russia. Bilateral projects are created and jointly implemented by teams of U.S. and Russian partner organizations to address a social issue within particular thematic areas.
